Terrorism succeeds when the media blasts an event on paper, TV and radio. If we as a country continuously badger ourselves over the past two events we are doing nothing but oiling the AQ and other nut case's machine. They're making a difference and it shows. They've got America chasing it's own tail and the left and right media is putting the prize on the end of the tail to chase.

Let it go.

The media is out for money and numbers. The one that yells the loudest gets the attention.

It's not about terrorism..it's about money and readership.

If it bleeds, it leads. Nothing new in the neighborhood, but I do agree with you. The media is downright traitorous sometimes.

Right.

We all know why you would like the media and the country to stop talking about it.

To stop the analysis of obama's reaction, just how miserably the system failed under his watch and just how dangerous and naive his policies are regarding dealing with terrorists.

NO WAY will that happen.

The media over publicizes EVERYTHING. If anything has this country going nuts it's the media. If they report about one thing one hundred times, they are bound to create a frenzy.

Yeah your right.... after all, during the Bush administration 9/11 didn't happen, the shoe bomber incident didnt happen... oh yeah and the plots to blow up planes in 2006 with liquid didn't happen. All of a sudden the system just failed. Seriously? The whole system has been flawed for ages.

You're right about the shoe bomber. These people don't seem to want to respond to anything about that incident. Like it never happened.

Hey sarge, you're missing the most important fact in all of this, is it on purpose? I bet it is. The fact is, this is THE SECOND TIME this happened. Should we wait for a third before it gets taken seriously? I know that's what Clinton would have done, you propose Obummo follow that same strategy?

Default B+ and the system works

If we can't catch a Nigerian with a powerful explosive powder in his oddly feminine-looking underpants and a syringe full of acid, a man whose own father had alerted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, a traveler whose ticket was paid for in cash and who didn't check bags, whose visa renewal had been denied by the British, who had studied Arabic in Al Qaeda sanctuary Yemen, whose name was on a counterterrorism watch list, who can we catch?

- Maureen Dowd

This is a big deal and epic failure. God bless it didnt detonate.
