So...because the vote didn't go the way they thought, now they will try to usurp the will of the people by going through the courts, which are friendly to their cause.

Shouldn't have been voted on by the people in the first place.

Oh please, you keep hanging on to the one article. Stop going after good citizens who are different from you. Someone else's desire for a happy marriage shouldn't bother you, nor should you have a say in whether gays should marry. Most gay people go about their business and you don't know they are gay.

As a conservative might say, that's how our Founding Fathers intended for the system to work.

And "usurp". Whatever.

Prop 8 was failing until the Catholic and LDS churches poured millions into the "Gathering Storm" propeganda campaign.

So yes, it was indeed religious institutions who encouraged people to vote yes.

This.

Rights should not be based on popular opinion.

Besides, non of this effects those who oppose it so they should have no say in the matter.

Again, Civil Rights are not open to the democratic process.

In fact, most laws aren't up for a popular vote. Some people act as if the public should have the final say on every law that's ever written. It doesn't work that way.

If they're afraid to show their faces, maybe they could wear white sheets to testify - just like the Ku Klux Klan.
I would show my face cuz homosexuality ruined my life!!! It destroyed my marraige. Now I have to share my wife with women just to keep her. I hate the idea of two men or women being together. the parts just dont fit. get a clue
