The voting is over. It would be a waste of time to target the voters at this point. The battle is now in the court system.
So...because the vote didn't go the way they thought, now they will try to usurp the will of the people by going through the courts, which are friendly to their cause.

Shouldn't have been voted on by the people in the first place.
Well first you will have to think past yourself. It hurts society. Go to biggovernment.com and put fistgate in the search bar and read all the lovely stories about gays and children in the schools. There is nothing good to say about that community and their intentions towards children.
Oh please, you keep hanging on to the one article. Stop going after good citizens who are different from you. Someone else's desire for a happy marriage shouldn't bother you, nor should you have a say in whether gays should marry. Most gay people go about their business and you don't know they are gay.

As a conservative might say, that's how our Founding Fathers intended for the system to work.
It's black and hispanics that voted against gay marriage. They did not need any religious group to encourage them to do what was right. Gays are afraid to confront them.
Prop 8 was failing until the Catholic and LDS churches poured millions into the "Gathering Storm" propeganda campaign.
So yes, it was indeed religious institutions who encouraged people to vote yes.

In fact, most laws aren't up for a popular vote. Some people act as if the public should have the final say on every law that's ever written. It doesn't work that way.
"Sponsors of California's ban on same-sex marriage, which faces a federal court trial in San Francisco next month, have told the trial judge that his suggestion to televise the proceedings is both unwise and illegal.
Television coverage could expose witnesses and other trial participants to harassment and intimidation, backers of Proposition 8 said in a court filing Monday. They said some of their witnesses "have indicated that they would not be willing to testify" if the trial was televised."

If they're afraid to show their faces, maybe they could wear white sheets to testify - just like the Ku Klux Klan.
I would show my face cuz homosexuality ruined my life!!! It destroyed my marraige. Now I have to share my wife with women just to keep her. I hate the idea of two men or women being together. the parts just dont fit. get a clue

Gay marriage is not a civil right.
