Sorry op, regardless of her "fury", she really didn't say anything.
Did you or did you not watch the video posted at HotAir before starting that thread here?

Secondhand and just the clip that they posted. I never "watch" his show.

Actually, I just clicked the link you provided. That is Ed, not Matthews.

Ron Christie has the gall to say: "I don't want him [President Obama] to act zealously. I want him to show some emotion. He's not showing the right emotion. And it's not a Republican attack or a Ron Christie attack, look at what Maureen Dowd said in the New York Times this morning. She said that he appeared like Dr. Spock [Matthews interrupts to correct him that it's Mr. Spock], this sort of a little bit detached, aloof. And I think Chris, frankly, this is a time of war. As much as Joan, and as much as many on the Democratic Left don't like to admit it, we are dealing with very serious issues right now."

[Cross-talk when Joan interrupts to say she admits that, and he reprimands her for cutting him off]

Ron Full-of-Gall Christie continues: "We are looking for the President of the United States on Christmas Day, when you have a radicalized Muslim trying to take down an American airliner on Christmas Day, to reassure the American people. I think he could have come out and said, "We are assessing the facts, we're assessing the situation. We'll get back to you," but I think that's what all Americans, not Republicans or Democrats, but Americans want from their President."

<snip another question from Chris Matthews>

". . .Christmas Day is one of the most holiest days in the Christian religious faith. This was a radicalized Muslim who tried to kill 300 Americans on Christmas Day. I wanted my President to come out and say, "We recognize this was an act of terror by a radicalized Muslim on Christmas Day and we're going to have this situation under control."

Okay Mr. Christie, you want emotion? Fasten your seatbelt for the wrath of Joan Walsh. . .

Joan Her-Fury-Knows-No-Bounds Walsh: "Richard Reid was a radicalized Muslim 3 days before Christmas. I had relatives flying and it was 2001 -- I was actually scared to death at that point, as were a lot of Americans. But nobody thought to bray about President Bush staying on his vacation because that wasn't the climate at the time. The climate right now is that Republicans use everything they can to undermine and delegitimize this President, and it's actually un-American. It's traitorous in my opinion. Do you want to give aid and comfort to our enemies? Continue to treat this President like he wasn't elected and he doesn't know what he's doing! He knows what he did, he knows what he's doing. I'm proud of him, I believe that he has the stalwart, resolute nature to get this done. In my opinion, sometimes he goes too far. But to talk about him like he's some Socialist out to lunch is just outrageous!"

WOO HOO! You Go, Girl!
I believe that was the weakest schit that could have possibly been spoken. Seriously, I came to this tread to read that?

I thought she actually laid down the law. All I hear is deflective spew.

If you haven't already seen it, look for the Rep. Massa interview from The Ed Shultz show today. Another winner.
I saw that, as well as his interview with former CIA Agent Jack Rice. I'm DYING for that video to be made available, as I wasn't watching on a Tivo set, so couldn't pause and transcribe as it was ongoing. Jack Rice became one of my heros today. I'll post that one when I find it, too.

Yeah, I don't get it either. What did she say that was kick a**?

Here's the link to the clip on MSNBC.

Ron Christie should've stayed home, he gained no ground and convinced no one with his baby-faced whining. Ms. Walsh neutered him good.

Thanks, Mike!

Listening to it again makes me want to slap Ron Christie. His rhetoric is so full of lies it's unbelievable.

This also gives everyone the opportunity to hear all of Joan's ire. I didn't have the patience to transcribe the entire exchange, nor did I think anyone would want to read the whole thing (not to mention that it comes across better in real time than on the written screen).

I met Joan Walsh in D.C. in a little bistro when we were there for the inauguration. Love Her!

Oh, how cool. I've always thought that I'd enjoy having a conversation with her.
