I go into the column that I would rescue my family rather than letting them die by employing a technique known to elicit false and unreliable results that take days rather than hours to obtain.
Thje question was you had 3 hours until your family would die. Not days. You chose to let them die rather than use waterboarding.
I admire you sticking to your principles.
I am not so noble as you i woudl us eany means needed to save my family
No, it's a scenario based on a metric sh.tload of unproven assumptions, and you're disingenuous in asserting otherwise . But seeing as you seem to do best with one-sentence sentiments, I'll try to simplify. How about "I fervently hope not." That basic enough?

Dude, in your scenario, with only 3 hours to work within, by using waterboarding my family would be dead, because it's proven that waterboarding doesn't elicit results at all until it's been applied for days, and even then the results are totally unreliable.
Again I ask, why on earth would I be stupid enough to start a process that I know takes days to provide results, when I only have 3 HOURS in which to save my family, and a plethora of evidence that shows that "soft interrogation" techniques actually work and that they work within HOURS, not days???

Yes, it's backwards. My answer is NO, I would NOT sacrifice my family.
Why is it you're having such a hard time with this concept? Please explain to me what you don't understand about the scientific information I've provided and I'll see if I can clarify it for you.
Yes, there is. The problem is that you are lying about what Jill's answer was.

Ok, now I know you're being deliberately obtuse.
In your scenario, my family would be alive because I did not rely on a technique that takes DAYS to provide BAD results.
Your family would be DEAD before you poured the second pitcher of water over the dude's face.
You KNOW this is what I'm saying. You can SEE that that's what I've posted.
Now you're just plain LYING so that you can feel like you're somehow superior for admitting your willingness to act stupidly.
I'm done.
