The briefing was centered on a written report, produced by US intelligence agencies, entitled "Key Homeland Threats", a senior US official said.

If you bother to read the story it clearly states that there were no warnings concerning Yemen in the report. Or any specific threat any where around the world.

"Asked about what kind of intelligence reporting was circulated to senior officials about possibly holiday period attacks before the failed underpants attack, a US intelligence official, who also asked for anonymity, explained: "As everybody knows, terrorists often speak in coded language, especially when they think their communications might be intercepted. There was no clear discussion of an attack, on Christmas or any other time, in the Middle East or anywhere else. But as veiled as the message was, it was spotted, processed, analyzed, and presented to senior policymakers as a warning sign-however vague-of a holiday attack. While this was handled properly, there were, to put it mildly, virtually no details at all. That happens."

Post 9/11 should any President not understand the chances of a terrorist threat at any given time are pretty good; being even moreso during a holiday that is likely to garner much press attention?

Yemen has historically been a terrorist problem for the U.S. so why would it be even have to be mentioned?

Terrorists only have to do it right once in a great while. We have to have competant people in place to foil every attempt.

So where is all the "Where was Bush" crowd when something happened?

So "Where was Obama" when he received this information and what did he do after he received the information other then take another vacation.

We all know it took him 3 days to even respond after knowing he knew something in advance.

Yet another poor decision by Obama.

I hope it isn't Obama's job to legitimize GWB.

Kind of like the story about Bush being warned before 9/11. Nothing specific other than the fact that they wanted to use planes to make the attack. No site, date or anything else but I so well remember the left howling all those years about him knowing. Not many people really knew about the Gorelick Wall and its part in that one.
