So very true, almost everyone freaks down here when the temp goes below 60°, below 50° and they don't know what to do(I do include myself, I don't freak out but I am cold-lol). Last nite I walked my dogs right after sundown, it was around 50-55° and the roads were absolutely deserted, not even any cars! It was sureal!

"Climate Change" a much more accurate term than "global warming" is a phenomena that works like this.
Increased temperatures and melting ice caps alter the ocean currents that carry warm water north
and cold water south. Eventually these slowing currents will cease, throwing the world into another "ice age". I have heard that once the ocean current stops, the "ice age" can occur in as few as 10 years. Prediction is that all temperate climate area of the globe will be uninhabitable. This is most of the U.S. Canada and Norther Europe. Something to think about!

A day, week or month of "unusual" weather does not indicate climate change in either direction. Weather is what you get, climate is what you expect.

Global warming isn't about the tempature in Florida at any given time, or lack thereof.

It's about the melting polar ice caps
It's about the changing and varying temp of the waters around the world.

It's about WHY Florida is COLD when it should be WARM and NOT cold. Or how there has been unusually harsh weather conditions globally that are not within normal.

No. It's not about temperature until we have a week's heatwave and brush fires in California, IN THE SUMMER. THEN, THAT'S WHEN YOU GUYS USE TEMPERATURE AS PROOF!

no one who really understands it would use any freakish weather event to try to prove anything. I'm sure if we looked at who has started 99% of the GW threads we'd see the same handful of deniers.
