Hot Air » Blog Archive » New TSA security measures target 13 Muslim countries — plus Cuba

I happen to think it is about time, but what about those concerned about this sort of thing. Once again Obama takes the left for granted. I am sure they will be good soldiers and keep their yaps shut.

Targeting countries is nothing new. We only allow certain countries on the Visa waiver program for example. The Cuba thing is a joke as I don't think there are too many terrorists emanating from there. That's the kind of crap that p***es me off about this administration. That's just pandering to the Miami Cubans that Obama doesn't even agree with. You know you want to ditch the whole anti-Castro thing, why not have the cojones to just do it?

Good. Keep an eye on them. Who knows when they will decide to do "Jihad".

I don't care about profiling. I care about the security of this nation.

Targeting is new at airport security and something that should have been done a long time ago but the lefties would wet their pants antime it was suggested. I am happy they have seen the light.

The facts remain the same, it is profiling.

Of course he should profile, just like domestic officers should profile. Let the statistics determine whether the profile is sensible.

What is not sensible is the billions of dollars wasted to strip search 70 year old pensioners and families of five. they should submit to "normal" screening procedures. But the lens on those who have been at the heart of terrorist activities in the past 40 years.

Current Travel Warnings

But where is Jordan? Libya? Morocco?

Sri Lanka? Its terrorism is local, embroiled in their own civil war.

I agree, he was lucky to get away with this. I would bet the ACLU makes an issue of this.
