this whole thing is a joke, you are right, it is a slow news day. The other day in our local paper there was a story written by a reporter in MD that said the number one story of interest in 2009, for her, was the White House Vegetable garden..

It's great they choose a garden, it is wonderful Michelle helped plant the seeds, but if anyone thinks she really cared for the garden, think again. Next we will be told she cooks all the meals and cleans the bathrooms.

I have no doubt they did grow sweet potatoes, if they didn't so what, my only problem is the attention this is getting, the attention the media is giving the entire Obama world. Will it ever end?

If, indeed, sweet potatoes were never grown in the garden, how did FLOTUS and the competing chefs pull sweet potatoes out of the ground at the White House? Was Desiree Rogers anywhere in vicinity in couture gardening togs??"

This is not a White House list.

The garden plan is the initial plan for the garden, and it's the SPRING GARDEN PLAN per the White House website. It was designed based on the wish list of the chefs and sous-chefs in the White House kitchens, AND the plan was modified as more input was gained. For instance, where on your plan is the Jefferson planting beds??????? We all know that heirloom seeds were planted with Thomas Jefferson's favorite plants in a Jefferson planting bed in the garden. But the Jefferson beds are not on YOUR plan that you stubbornly keep re-posting. If the plans could be updated to include past Presidents' favorite plants, then the plan could be updated to include a plant such as sweet potatoes, couldn't they?

Since sweet potatoes were clearly being grown in the White House vegetable garden when AOL did their story at the end of this past summer, when are you going to acknowledge that the sweet potatoes did indeed come from the White House garden?

Totally equal to other threads started about hating the Obama's ...like the SHOCK AND HORROR of Obama not wearing a JACKET in the Oval Office Thread!!!! It proves that if you hate enough, you're willing to make a total fool out of yourself.

Who in here said they hated Michelle Obama?

But when the president tells us we should keep our house at a certain temp then he should be a good leader and keep his house at the temp.

How can you expect someone to listen and follow when you dont do what you are asking others to do? Shouldnt Obama say we should all keep the temp of our house at x and he actually keep his house at x degrees also

I dont get why people support Obama but doesnt think he should be a leader. They are simple followers will do what he says even if he doesnt do what he says. tisk tisk tisk
