I understand the mercury content keeps the bacteria count down - maybe I'll try it.
There's no mercury or bacteria at all in raw tuna. It's all healthy, and delicious. I once caught a Tuna in Montauk and we cut it open and were eating it right out of the fish on the ride back to shore. It's delicious. Raw tuna is almost as good as raw beef.
