She was liked by the people of Baltimore. So sad to see another fallen Democrat.

Update:
TBO.com - Baltimore mayor resigns under plea deal (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_BALTIMORE_MAYOR?SITE=FLTAM&SECTION=US - broken link)
Quote:
Dixon, a 56-year-old Democrat, also gets to keep her city pension, which she would have had to forfeit with a conviction on her record.
Somebody needs to head up a law that requires the forfeiture of pensions when a public official is convicted of a felony while holding office.
Quote:
Even as she pleaded guilty, Dixon showed signs of the defiant streak that characterized her yearlong battle against allegations that she stole gift cards intended for needy families and lied about thousands of dollars in presents from her former boyfriend, a developer who received tax breaks from the city.
Love the entitlement mentallity.
Quote:
State Prosecutor Robert A. Rohrbaugh called the resolution of the case "a victory for justice."
joke??
This plea deal sends the wrong message and underscores that we cannot trust government to police itself.

This woman should be doing jail time at a minimum and yet will still get her pension and be eligible to run for office again upon termination of probation (2Yrs).
The people of Baltimore should let the State Prosecutor have it
