Negroid is a specific term. There's negroid, caucasoid, and mongoloid. I think you're missing the point. It's not the word or black or whatever it's the history and meaning behind the word not the word itself.

Oh I get it. You know what I just said about the word being offensive. So you're purposely going to use to get a rise. Very mature.

What is Person 1’s race? Mark one or more races to
indicate what this person considers himself/herself to be.

8. White
Black, African Am., or Negro
American Indian or Alaska Native — Print name of enrolled or principal tribe.

The census is asking what race they think they are.

Lets say, for discussions sake, that the only one who is offended by a term, in this the word "Negro", that the entire population should discontinue using that word so that you would not be offended?

Alright I"m calm and cool. They still shouldn't have put it on the form. Hopefully it won't be on the form in 2020. I consider myself to be black. Just black nothing fancy. If someone calls themselve negro that is their business. However I'm sure that this was someone older who is used to seeing this on older forms versus someone younger such as myself who would not call themselves that especially in an official capacity.

Why should I be called caucasian when I'm English, Irish, French, German, Polish and Bohemian? Why can't I have special rights???

In a 1995 survey conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the Census Bureau, 3.28 percent of respondents wanted "Negro" used. On the other hand 1.09 percent wanted "Colored.

Remember the rule...the majority cannot discriminate against a minority.

This is new to me I've never heard of anyone who thought it was okay to use the word negro in this day and age particularly by someone who isn't black. I'm truly baffled.

Don't be condesending with me. This isn't just something that I"ve made up and I'm not the only person in the world who is offended. So it's not about just satisfying my eccentric wishes.
