if the show is about them trying to lose weight and they are successful i would think that would serve as a motivator for other obese people, but at no point should this show be allowed to glorify bad parenting skills. i think that is why the jon and kate show became such a spectacle, because they stopped being good parents and started focusing on themselves. (which evidently they are still doing even without a show).

I used to hate my mother for forcing vegetables & fruit on me but now that I am involved in sports I know how important diet is [esp in wrestling].

Allowing children to stuff themselves to the point of obesity is what they call "Killing them with kindness." I see the same thing with obese dogs, and cats. Obesity is NOT cute.
