In this country, one of the main ingredients to help win an election is a winning personality. And that totally unnecessary ingredient called charisma, which potential voters insist upon, time after time after time.
No political platform is necessary, as voters will never admit they're really not interested in the issues. And those that haven't read their history, who are foolhardy enough to speak the truth to voters, off with their heads!
China peers over their shoulders each time we have an election here, pondering the idea of American style democracy.
