Bite this.
Thank you, this reminds me of good times at ATT park when Barry(steroid) Bonds was playing for the Giants. The whole crowd would chant BAAAAAARRRRRRY! BAAAAARRRRY! I miss those days at the ballpark with my old man. For some it was a respectful chant, for others it was mocking.

That's not hypocritical.

I don't like or respect cops--but do you think I'm not going to SHOW them respect when interacting with them? Showing respect is not about the other person, it's about your OWN character. You don't have to like or respect the person, but you can still treat them with respect.

Once again, can you say hypocrite?

After all, respect has to be earned, it is not a right. And yuor statement makes you a lying hypocrite.

Hence my opinion of you.

Done with you since you have hijacked the thread and have nothing of value to say.

You--and everyone else--has a right to be TREATED with respect. That doesn't mean anyone should respect you. There's a difference.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Not quite. There is no "right" to be treated with respect. It would be nice, though, if everyone was polite and well-mannered enough to treat others respectfully.

What ever happened to politeness and good manners? When did being rude and ill-mannered become so acceptable? And why?

That is my point. Treating someone respectfully is just good manners. It's something you do to show YOUR character. The other person being "worthy" has nothing to do with it.

Why? I guess some people figured if they could get away with it, then they would.
