WOW 85,000 jobs lost in Dec and unemployment is 17% WOW again

Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. unexpectedly lost 85,000 jobs in December, supporting Federal Reserve forecasts that a labor market recovery will take time and making it more likely interest rates will stay near zero for the next six months.

The so-called underemployment rate -- which includes part- time workers who’d prefer a full-time position and people who want work but have given up looking -- rose to 17.3 percent from 17.2 percent.

The Obama administration is under pressure because about half of the jobs lost during the recession have occurred since the president’s inauguration in January of last year.

“This is a very stubborn recession,” Labor Secretary Hilda Solis said in an interview today on Bloomberg Television. “We’re going to have to work harder to create jobs.”

GOP day 1: We want less government! Get government out of our lives!

GOP day 2: Why isn't the government creating more jobs for us, this is an outrage!

GOP day 3: Why is the government spending more money to create jobs! We can't afford this!

I want to know where are the jobs the liberals said they were going to create!
The conservatives are not the ones wanting the Gov to create jobs because we know the Gov cannot creat jobs it is the private sector that does that as 80% of all jobs in this country are created by small business owners. But I thank you for the attempt at trying to take it away from obama

This has been pointed out before, so lets read it together real slow. If I set a goal to run a 10k in 31:00 and I end up running it in 34:00, that doesn't mean I lied, it simply means I didn't hit my goal.

About 750,000 jobs were lost during George W. Bush's last month in office, so I'd say we're seriously better off than we were a year ago.

I love it, the amount of psychosis is simply so astounding it belongs in a comedy.

People scream why the libs aren't creating more jobs with the stimulus.

People then complain that the stimulus takes too much public money even though only 12% is spent. The original stimulus being put forth and voted in by a Republican, though no one gives a flying rats ass because of partisan insanity.

Rinse and repeat, demanding why public money isn't working and then saying too much is spent no matter the amount. Screaming Socialism when anything is spent to help jobs or employment, while people complain that they have no job and the government is not doing enough to keep them and the people they know employed.

I always wondered if people are as insane as many older folks say, now I know...and knowing is half the battle.

GI Joe, *Thumbs up and rainbow in the animated background as I confirm again why I am misanthropic*.

Ummmm get this.........
We did not want the stimulus! It was passed by conservatives under duress!
We do not want Gov to attempt to create jobs because we know they cannot.
Yes, we are screaming about what the Gov is spending they are out of control!
The Dems wanted the first stimulus not the Conservatives and they do not want the 2nd stimulus either! The Liberals do.

So blame not the conservatives and your talking points are old and !

obama is looking like the fool he is everytime he opens his mouth with one of his daily speeches except when a terrorist tries to bomb a American plane he has nothing to say Wow how typical.

Everyone who is not a SHEEP knew all this Stimulus money being spent on Gov created job growth is a bunch of crap.
But the sheep were all for it unemployment is at 17% people and still dropping. The "one" and his minions are doing everything to help to continue the job loss and the overall plummeting economy

Oh and many older folks are dropping AARP like crazy because yes they know this administration is NO GOOD for them. Pretty funny! Those pesky consequences for actions are quite funny eh!

Was the unemployment rate above 10 under Bush?

And what is it under Obamie?

Miborn, they will never own up to the fact that Obamie is a total failure.

He has an open checkbook, total control of the country and still has lost almost 10 million jobs.

Anyone, and I mean anyone with an open checkbook could have created something that create at least a few jobs.

It just shows he has no clue how to run anything.
