Yes good old hussein obama has brought many Democrats to the Tea Protests. I am sure their are many Democrat parents that do not want their children growing up in a socialist/communist country.

I should copyright it and make posters with his picture on it. Millions of posters could be sold.

He deserves the new name, after all he has earned it.

Believe me, it would be a great seller!

Were you not the one that came up with Goracle?

Good Afternon,

The CDF Moderators will not allow me to rep you for your most appealing post.

As usual you have "Hit The Nail On The Head" with this little gem, especially the part about "Kicking All The Career Politicians Out" ... Indeed how wonderful this sounds. May we be witness to this great event and soon !

Thanks / Lamar

When you are open minded and actually look at the citizens that are members of the tea party its going to cost both parties but the democrat party more then the republican

Why because you have a group of citizens that are set on making a change. Not this slogan change like " change you can believe in" But actually making sure that those in dc remember who they work for. Bringing attention to the waste and fraud in Dc.

They are going to bring attention to things that democrat and republicans both are going to want to slip away and be hiden.

You are kidding yourself if you think it will only affect the republican party.

I agree.

“So if the Republican Party is wise, they will allow themselves to be re-defined by the tea party movement. And I hope that that will be the case.” – Bachmann

It’s ironic that the party which originally disliked the essentially democratic principle of listening to the ‘common man’ should do a philosophical about face and embrace the concept. This was the party with their founding roots in Federalism and the idea that only elite citizens with ‘vested interest’ should guide power, not ‘the rabble.'
As for many of the folks claiming connection to the principles of the original “Tea Party,” I would suggest that they consider the fact that the original revolt was constituted by principled men who blatantly broke actual laws to draw the enemy out. These were real men with true commitment to an undeniably just cause. Not some screaming banshees who think yelling in disagreement is the same as a revolution, then disappear back to daily life. Most of these people wouldn't know a "revolution" if it picked them up and tossed them into the drink.
The Democrats are absolutely no better. They too have changed into something their forefathers would rightly disown in a heartbeat. Too many on 'both sides' seem to forget that American politics has a history longer than the last few decades. Political principles are not concepts that come with expiration dates.

“Conservative” versus “Liberal” my ass! The right thing to do and the intelligent way to do it (on any issue) has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with being either. In light of this fact, perhaps it would be a good time to rethink the stale notion of single party partisanship.

"So if the Republican Party had anyone wise among them, we would have heard some reasonable solutions by now. I wish that were the case." - T

So how is that Kool-Aiders Party going?
If you were rational about what's going on in this country, you'd know that it was Bush who nearly buried this nation and it's Obama who is bringing us out of the wreckage that Bush and the CONservatives left behind once we booted them out of office.

As for AIDS parties, maybe you should check with your fellow conservatives like Larry Craig - if you want to find him just go into a men's room at the airport and tap your foot with the guy in the next stall, one of them will be Larry Craig, looking for some man-loving.

They were successful in getting rid of a "RINO" which is what they call a moderate Republican, in New York but they also succeeded in getting a Democrat elected there. They are now poised to go after other moderate Republicans such as Susan Collins, Charlie Crist and maybe even Lindsey Graham whom they are unhappy with over immigration. They are pledged to making sure a "John Mccain" type is not nominated in 2012. They want hard right wing candidates that will tow the line.
The problem is, that if they are sucessfull in destroying the moderate Republican, they will certainly bring about the election of more Democrats. Outside of the south, most of the country is NOT hard right wing and turned off by neo cons. And the fact that they will certainly drive more minorities, gays and women off the Republican wagon will only benefit Democrats as it did in the New York race.
I don't think for a minute that Mario Rubio has a chance in hell of winning in Florida if he tows that line. Charlie Crist can win in Florida with his more moderate views.
I think the Republicans have opened a can of worms they will live to regret.
No, but they will significantly splinter this party even further. It's great to see actually.
