Here is an e-mail I received today that explains how Senator McConnell and Senator DeMint may have taken advantage of Reid's relief after he bought and cajoled enough votes to do some things. It appears that the Senate can't have any kind of amendments added to the Reid bill and that is where the problem lies. A number of far left Representatives have said they won't vote for a bill that doesn't have public option in it so it would appear that for them to vote for the Reid bill it has to have public option in it. Read the message to see how this will cause all kinds of troubles for those who have to have this bill passed as soon as possible.

With increasing calls for Reid's resignation - and the almost certainty he cannot win re-election, the increasing opposition to these "bills" by the American public, the chances of passage of any legislation regarding health-care is decreasing significantly IMO.

They have until Jan. 19 to pass the bill cause they democrats will LOSE their 60-vote supermajority... if they don't pass it then.. the healthcare bill is doomed.. which is good and bad... there needs something to be done for the uninsured and yet at the same time we can't allow these "special bribes" to pass...

This bill needs to get defeated. This bill gives the Federal government UNLIMITED POWER over our lives. If they think guns or alcohol etc are a danger to our health and/or it's costing to much money. They will spin it for our health and best interest.

I believe the [MOD CUT] see the writing on the wall, vote for this bill and you are toast.

Some of the dems will wise up and kill this bill.

People like Nelson are running scared and will change their mind if they are smart enough.

If this bill continues on the dems will be goners, it will be their last straw.
