I didn't realize POS stood for Peaceful Oasis of Statesmenship.

Nope, no bashfest here!

Such righteous indignation from the liberal left!!!

It's blasphemous for Limbaugh to have made his "alleged" comments,...but is acceptable for the left to wish for the death of both Limbaugh and "all his followers". Is that not the height of hypocrisy??

What makes wishing the death of millions of Americans any worse than what Limbaugh "supposedly" said?

800 million to Gaza to repair what Israel did. promising Billions to help Africa. Now haiti?
Last I heard we are borrowing cash from China just to pay our own bills.
I mean yes its tragic and haiti is in really bad shape, but we are not doing so well ourselves. Why not let Haiti's neighbors help them out? Or maybe China? China seems to have an abundance of cash these days. Or how about Europe?
Why does it always need to be the USA?

Yes, it was compared to the immediate reaction to Haiti. It wasn't criticizing the immediate reaction to Haiti, it was pointing out that Obama just really didn't care much about the attempt to blow up an airplane as he easily could have spoken immediately about. Instead, he had his idiot Napolitano out telling everyone the system worked perfectly.

Misinformation from Limbaugh to justify his hatemongering.

Obama Leaps into Action on Haiti

Quote:
RUSH: Here's President Obama speaking about Haiti this morning in Washington at the White House. He held a press conference. Now, I want you to remember, it took him three days to respond to the Christmas Day Fruit of Kaboom Bomber, three days. And when he came out after those three days, he was clearly irritated that he had to do it. He didn't want to do it. He comes out here in less than 24 hours to speak about Haiti.

OBAMA: I have directed my administration to respond with a swift, coordinated, and aggressive effort to save lives. The people of Haiti will have the full support of the United States in the urgent effort to rescue those trapped beneath the rubble and to deliver the humanitarian relief, the food, water, and medicine that Haitians will need in the coming days.

RUSH: Oh, this is what he lives for. He lives for serving those in misery. Now, don't misunderstand here, folks. I don't have the whole press conference, but I wonder did he apologize for America before acknowledging we are the only people on earth that can possibly help 'em out down there in any significant way? By the way, I've checked it out, Cuba has offered nothing. Venezuela has offered nothing. They have nothing to offer. (interruption) Venezuela is going to send 30 people? Well, they're people who want to get out of there anyway because they're having rolling blackouts in Venezuela, in Caracas, which is an oil-driven -- it's the most amazing thing. The vision of our future is right before our eyes in Venezuela. Socialist country, devalued the currency on purpose a couple days ago, putting people in jail if they raise prices as a result of this. We are devaluing our own currency, not as rapidly as Hugo Chavez did but we're doing it with all of our deficit spending and borrowing. At any rate, here's another portion of the president's statement.

.....

No word from Cuba about aid. They're not sending anything. They don't have anything. You say Hugo is going to send 30 people and some supplies? All right, well, good for him

Venezuela said it would send a military plane with food, medicine and drinking water, as well as a team of 50 rescue workers.
Cuba, which also felt the quake, has sent 30 doctors.
Cuban field hospitals in Port-au-Prince were already treating hundreds of injured, according to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

The situation in Hatti, however, is quite different. These people are injured, suffering, dying, without potable water, without shelter, without food, without medical help, etc.....

I think the suffering of the Haitians is a bit more than your emotional distress about the Christmas bomber, don't you?
I certainly don't need Obama to reassure me as he is completely incapable of doing so because he has proven himself to be an incompetent moron when dealing with issues of national security. Its not like Obama has any trouble getting some cameras an airtime. Basically, his silence for 3 days showed that dealing with terrorism is low priority for him. I guess when you have a director of homeland security who refuses to use the word terrorism, you can't be very serious about dealing with it.

Instead of reading someone else's opinion of what Limbaugh said, I'd suggest that everyone read the transcript of the comments where there is some context to what was spoken. The transcript is available for free to anyone who visits Limbaugh's site, RushLimbaugh.com.

Read it for yourself, unless you're so lazy that you need to be spoon-fed by others.

Do you not see how the situation in Haiti is much more needing of an immediate reaction than a situation in which none have died and none are presently in danger of dying? People have died in Haiti and more will die with or without our help, but far fewer with it. Whether you care about that or not you can't pretend that this situation isn't more urgent.

Regardless of your opinion of Cuba, there's no denying that they commonly send help much out of proportion to their influence.
