I know. Not enough, not fast enough not right enough.
By the way do you know this from years of experience in the field? Or years of experience watching TV? See Navy behind earth quake thread...
I can look at a picture like anyone else. In the airdrop picture, the highway is both clear and intact. It looks like Afghanistan, I presume? That's not the situation in Haiti.
I saw the Navy thread. It's been discredited as a hoax.
The first sentence in the Disclaimer at the bottom of that websites' page says it all..."This website exists for entertainment purposes only."
The second sentence explains even more..."The reader is responsible for discerning the validity, factuality or implications of information posted here, be it fictional or based on real events."
The third paragraph says..." Not all posts on this website are intended as truthful or factual assertion by their authors. Some users of this website are participating in internet role playing, with or without the use of an avatar. NO post on this website should be considered factual information on face value alone. Anyone who believes that the info posted on this site is anything else, has not used discernment as suggested by the disclaimer.
(Bolded words, typos, etc., in the quotes are the actual quote, not my doing.)
Scary that people will believe this tripe w/o checking.
IIRC the evacuation of New Orleans was based on driving out of town and most of the opccupants of the city did not have cars. Great plan guys. About the Republican norm.
Y'know, there was an earthquake there. The highways are wrecked! Perhaps the military ways don't work in earthquake relief.
Not to mention that there's no control tower and no air traffic control. They are operating under some extremely difficult and dangerous circumstances.

They don't HAVE a government of their own at the moment. How have you not figured that out??? Not to mention, they're now not only relying on "the" government, they're relying on DOZENS OF GOVERNMENTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Time has run out to save trapped victims with the rare exception of a miracle. The search-and-rescue effort by the U.S. government was totally non-existent. Now relief aid of water, food, medicine, generators and fuel is needed to support the survivors of the earthquake. This looks to be a failure too as authorities are now predicting that an equal number (at minimum) of Haitians will lose their lives from dehydration, starvation, and lack of medical treatment as was killed by the earthquake itself.

So much for Obama's promise for an all-out relief effort. It is far more of a failure than the Katrina relief effort that was delayed by the hurricane itself and an insane mayor and governor. I thought it was amusing that Obama (in the presence of Bush) today said that relief efforts would be difficult in the first days. Yet when Obama was campaigning he was quick to say that the Bush administration did a poor job with the Katrina relief. Now, maybe he knows better! But he'll never admit it...
Anger built Saturday at Haiti's US-controlled main airport, where aid flights were still being turned away and poor coordination continued to hamper the relief effort four days on.
"Let's take over the runway," shouted one voice. "We need to send a message to (US President Barack) Obama," cried another.
Control remained in the hands of US forces, who face criticism for the continued disarray at the overwhelmed airfield.
On Port-au-Prince's streets, the consequences of the coordination breakdown are clear, as traumatized and starving quake survivors approached passing foreigner and begged for food.
Obama's "swift, coordinated and aggressive" search-and-rescue and relief aid for Haitians has been a complete failure. Even other countries are filing complaints against the U.S. Obama promised a stellar response in his first comments about the earthquake on Wednesday. Obama owes the Bush administration a huge apology for his stupid comments about the efforts in the days after Hurricane Katrina.
