Compare that to The Idiot (W) that refused to help even his fellow Americans until it got so embarrassing that he had to do something several days later. It is nice to have a real leader that we can be proud of for a change!
You guys are anal when it comes you BOOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!

0bama is just doing what he does best, spending other people's money, while looking like the savior.

I think a better comparison would be how bush handled the Tsunami in 2004.

It took him days to respond, and when he did he only gave 15 million in aid. It wasn't until the entire world booed him did he finally agree too send 350 million overseas.

Oh and he was on Vacation and stayed on vacation

Good points, KevK. It's incredible how much better it is to have a real leader who takes charge, bears responsibility like an adult, and has aid deployed before the dust settles. Bush was still on vacation at this point, and Katrina happened in his own country!

Obam'as turning out to be a great president, indeed.

I see the hate, anger and racism towards President Bush is still going on today.

It takes Obama 3 days to respond to a terror attack on US soil yet he finds time to respond to something out of our country quickly. Amazing.

Maybe he has learned from his mistakes.

Learn the system, the mayor ask the ask the governor for help, then the governor has to ask the feds for help.

Nagin wanted to be a hero and he turned out to be a total failure. He would NOT allow the national guard into the city until it was already out of control.

Your mayor is responsible for you first and foremost, then your governor.
There really is no point in trying to argue a point if the federal government was too slow to help the people in New Orleans during Katrina. There just is no point. If you are going to sit here, come up with excuses, etc. then you will stay on that view no matter what.

That is cool though. Rock on.

Do you really mean half the stuff you say, or do you just do it to get excitment out of people?

Anyways, with that all aside. I just hope the major problems with failing Katrina relief efforts was studied and if anything like that happened again we would know how to put better relief and lock down on a city quicker. Pointing fingers 5 years after the fact is useless.

Maybe we should lend Obama to Haiti for several months, he can do for them what he's done for us. No, they don't deserve another disaster on top of all this.

BS!!!
Check out the Katrina timeline. Talking Points Memo, a decidedly left leaning blog, did a good job capturing the essentials.

Wikipedia has it all in more detail.
