Only the totally ignorant, politically naive, history impaired would think Obama started this mess.....and they can rant and rave and wet their pants all they want ...and intelligent people won't fall for their garbage

All they do is advertise how stupid Obama opponents are....

Having the money changers start lending again is bad? I though you neoconfused were mad because the banks were not lending the stimulus money. Which is it?

5 factories and 10,000 jobs gone in the last year in my home town.

17.5% unemployment in one small county.

471 foreclosures in one small county.

585 bankruptcies in one small county.

Guess that stimulus money worked out like a charm.

Add an entire, yes entire row of retail businesses in a shopping center that have closed in the last year tells me that your messiah is the problem.

Obama's money scam has really worked well hasn't it?

Proving the Blind Squirrel Theory once again, you are right for once. This so-called recession is unlike any in modern times in that it was directly caused by a purposeful poisoning of credit markets and subsequent failure to treat the problem in time to avoid the consequences of that in the broader economy. This epic failure brought to you exclusively by George W Bush & Co., in association with assorted cowboy capitalists and laissez-faire free-marketeers.

The 70's were rosier times than the early 80's as well. It's those wonderful first-term Reagan years that are still the standard of comparison when it comes to sizing up post-Depression economic messes. This Second Bush Recession looks like it's going to give old Ronnie a run for his money, though.

LOL. Have you taken any account at all of the roughly $15 trillion in wealth that simply disappeared out of US equity and real estate markets alone? It doesn't really seem so...

Industries do not close or move in an instant. Their managers take a fair amount of time considering a response to the business situation. Undoubtedly those closing were considered during the Bush administration. Once the productive basis of a community fails the unemployment, foreclosures, bankruptcies and supplier failures follow.

Your town is just another example of the results of the Bushista encouraged outsourcing our manufacturing base has created. Obama and the Democrats had nothing to do with this basic problem.

Obama's stimulant program was not designed to have any effect on this part of the economy but was designed to increase employment by funding infrastructure repair and replacement. These are construction, not factory jobs. Those folks will be out of work, homes and hope until we revise the system to reindustrialize our economy.

I understand your bitterness but I do not understand why you blame the Democrats and Liberals when it is obvious the right wing neocon policies of the Bush’s (both) administrations are such an obvious cause. Please look carefully at the entire situation before you just accept some demagogue’s ranting.

It was actually caused by Clinton-Greenspan and amplified by Bush-Greenspan + Bush-Bernanke. Also, "blind squirrel" or "broken clock" theories don't really apply when the predicters actually talk about the details on exactly how the credit crisis will evolve and the likely aftermath. But, it's great fodder for those mentally incompetent "economists" who were too stupid to see this coming. That dog just ain't gonna hunt.

You can't replace credit with money printing + legislation, no matter how many times you click your heels and saying there's no place like home...

Yup, it's Harriet and Botox lady.

They are to blame for this mess. Add in the dem-comi leader Obamie to the mix and you have what you have today, a mess.

Why has Obama been a total failure with money?

Why has he set record for spending and debt and we get zero results?
Why has he set a record for spending and debt? Because that is what it takes to get us out of the mess Dubya left us in. As far as I am concerned it is a good time to give a left leaning, intelligent, black man a chance to be a good President. Afterall, we gave a chance to a right leaning, retarded, white one!

You've given him a chance, look where we are headed? Doesn't seem promising to many. The Pres has his own agenda, and seeing to it, it gets done one way or another.
