A 0.3% drop is "destroying capitalism". What a joke.

Wow, that is a thoughtful comment. 2008 was a mess for retail sales- the first year of the recession. Can't blame that on Obama! When will people realize we're in a recession- Obama or any other president can't fix it overnight!

That's funny. Not only do I WORK for a retailer that made plan, I've read local stories about how well local businesses ended up doing for the year, considering Christmas and after-Christmas sales.

LOL..the system is going to do what it needs to do to correct itself.
The government is trying to prevent that from happening.
They cannot prevent it; only prolong the inevitable.

Understand this and you'll see that Obama isn't destroying anything. It's that he can't save it like he thinks.

Retail sales dropping 3% is not exactly destroying capitalism - not to any rational person it isn't.... And 3% is just the 'initial' reading - when the revision comes out in a few weeks - it will almost surely be less than a 3% decrease.

We are slowly coming out of the most severe recession in our lifetime - one that clearly started during George Bush's tenure... The economy is improving - but slowly - in fits and starts.

Lay blame where it belongs. George Bush is far more responsible for the recession than Obama.

LoL, .3% is within the rounding error boundaries by statistical observation in the sample.

If that's destroying capitalism, please do everyone a favor and take a statistics class.

Wrong. Get your head out of the sand. Stop listening to the rightwing radio thugs. Republicans are shoving fascism down our throats. Cheney is destroying Christianity. The War on Brain Cells is being waged by Sarah Palin. Rush Limbaugh sucks. <add your own overused ridiculous false cliche here>

Your blatant disregard to how crappy your ridiculous party is doing right now is just mind blowing... I don't understand how you can still be sitting there cheer leading your failing president. Open your eyes man! .
