I remember when Bush was promising fiscal restraint and smaller government, and we got record deficits and a bureaucratic albatross known as the Department of Homeland Security that made marginally functional agencies (e.g. FEMA) completely useless.

Hence tinman's message. They are all the same. I've been arguing that both parties are corrupt since I've been on here. I think they're both ****. But this complete and utter love affair the media and the cult followers have with Obama is unbelievable. I believe he could shoot a man dead in the street for no reason and there would be the standard backing from the same people on this forum as well as the media. I'm no Republican, I am not a neocon, I am a conservative; and I think most of what the Republican majority did while they had the WH and Congress was despicable. I dare say that there are VERY few liberals on this forum that would call out a Democrat no matter WHAT they did. There is perhaps one left-leaning person on this forum that I believe thinks for themselves rather than follow the party line hook, line, and sinker.

No, it is standard for the extreme right, and you just added the spell-policing to the arsenal.

You must have missed this post of mine.

Newsweek has had 49 issues this year so far (through Dec. 22), so Obama has been featured on about a quarter of its covers as well.
I'd say that's a lovefest.
He has appeared on HALF of Time's covers and 25% of Newsweeks.

Anything coming out of Newsweek (the propaganda-in-print for the democrats) is suspect. Since they are filled with liberal hacks, their opinions mean even less.

I'm not extreme right; Bush was ****. The Republicans, for the most part were and are ****. Bush spent, spent, spent, and spent. The Democrats are much the same, except lately, they are worse. Clinton was more of a fiscal conservative than Bush was, plain and simple. And if you can't spell, you should seriously consider the assistance of the many tools available in the very same web browser you use to post.

No, I saw it and it has nothing to do with the topic. It is spam. And again, the study was not the opinon of Newsweek, they just reported the results of the study. It would really help if you would read the links.

Spam? An MSNBC piece on how many times obama has appeared on Time and Newsweek is spam?

Can't stand the facts, can you?

More spell-policing. LOL. What else is new.

Yes, I know Republicans and Dems spend, spend and spend, but what does it have to do with the topic?

Trust me there are plenty of liberals & left leaning moderates that are NONE too pleased about what's going on with the administration we elected.

Huffington Post is a good example. It can be considered a liberal, leftist outlet but very outspoken and critical about the Dems shenanigans. HuffPo even has some Republican/conservatives writers in their articles.
HuffPo is not dogmatically partisan.

I've also posted on what lefties and right wingers have in common and there are examples of politicians & others from both aisles working together for financial and (a real) health care reform.

There is a wide range of liberal thought that exists outside of citydata.
I do agree with some of what you write but remember not everyone who claims to be liberal are necessarily in agreement about what that term means.
