Yes, they had an earthquake... yes, it was devastating for them... yes, I donated money over there for them already.... yes, everyone is trying to go over there and help them... there is nothing new... they say the same thing over and over and over and over again... I can't believe that they cover the ENTIRE news cast on one topic for days... I don't mind them devoting 5 minutes each time but the ENTIRE newscast? Its too much... what about you, do find the coverage is overblown? How long is too long for you?

I don't mind. I got tired of MJ and Tiger fast, but this is real news.

I'm seeing other topics covered on MSNBC.

Maybe you should turn off the TV or change the channel.

We have Netflix streaming, no cable, satellite, or antennae stations. So no, I am not tired of the coverage.

I suspect the families and friends of people in Haiti, may have some interest. If you want to watch cartoons, just tune to FOX or something.

It's far more appropriated to spend days---even weeks---on a lot of coverage of Haiti. If they can do hours and hours on the likes of Jon & kate, Brittany, Tiger, and Paris Hilton then we can sure sit through some uncomfortable news that directly effects millions of people in a very catastrophic way. It might do us all some good, to help remind us of how lucky we to be sitting here at our computer keyboards.

Imagine if you or one of your family members were in that situation...no food, water or shelter. How would you feel? This is a story that needs media coverage, no doubt about it. If you're sick of it, turn the channel...

I'm more tired of the coverage of the childish bickering and sniveling of the democrats and republicans in washington. But hey here's a concept, turn off the freakin t.v and read a book.

It's an unfortunate attitude that is quite prevalent in our society. The ME attitude. If it is something that doesn't benefit ME, it is by definition, useless or bad. We see that reflected a lot in this forum.
