How so? It was the Republicans who wanted to free the slaves, not the Democrats. Another victim of a liberal-indoctrinated education, I see.

You have just proven my long held belief that not everything that walks on two legs is human.

Here in my city we have a Martin Luther King Breakfast and March, which ends at our National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. At our Museum we have an African American Cultural Festival that starts today and ends on Monday. On Sunday we will have our city opera perform at IKEA-I really look forward to hearing them. On Monday the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will be opened free to the public, so I will have a glorious weekend celebrating the life of Martin, but also celebrating all those other great men and women both black and white who fought and continue to fight for our Civil Rights. Tomorrow many churches both black and white congregations will be celebrating as well according to the weekend event section in the newspaper. There are a wealth of activities in our city!!

Oh what a load of crap.
If you have nothing else more intelligent to throw around but the "OMG he's racist" trash, then I suggest you take lessons in debate.
The race card is old. Tired. Played out. Find something new.

Nobody is a racist simply because they dont idolize someone. I dont particulary admire MLK either. Does that make me one too?

I celebrate MLK day. The man was a peace maker. Christopher Columbus discovered Hispaniola aka Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

No. I don't really "celebrate" any day that has someones name attaced to it. Only the big cultural holidays.

This conservative white gal proudly celebrates Martin Luther King day each year. I did not realize that the civil rights movement was a "liberal" thing that only white liberals and blacks participate in.
