The problem is excess profits. Remember the 80s when greed was good? Screw the consumer to make money for the stockholders.

It became a dirty word when insurance companies dropped cancer patients ( or whoever ) and left them there to die, after years of charging extremely high premiums.

You tell us. When did it? I sure as hell don't know, and I consider myself to be a liberal who likes making a profit.

I feel it is the difference in employee and business owner.

Employees have no clue.

Business owners have all the risk. They are not in business to give someone a job.

Never heard of such a thing.

I've never complained about making a profit. Maybe quit reading so many right wing blogs, go outside and see the real world for a change.

Profiteering: to make an unreasonable profit, as on the sale of difficult to obtain goods

What's an unreasonable profit? What are difficult to obtain goods? It's completely subjective.
