I wonder if Sarah Palin would be nearly as popular if she were a black Republican woman? What about that winking? Would she still be "hot"?

Jefferson and Washington owned salves. Lincoln did not own slaves. You shold not be guilty of impuning a good man. Particularly whne this man died basically in the defense of ending slavery. Not very nice.

Default strengthen your position

If you base your assumption that republicans are racist because "there are no black republicans in the us congress" you might want to restate your evidence to create the illusion there is some credibility to your claim.

Lincoln - as head of the Union executive branch - played the central role in securing his own share in ownership of confiscated slaves. I would wager to bet that this slice of history was never taught to you in public school?

Upon hearing of General Hunter's action one week later, President Lincoln immediately revoked the order, thus returning the slaves to their former status as property of the federal government."

He also inherited his wife's slaves upon their marriage.
