(It would be nice to see several other things happen as well) This should already be done. It's ridiculous to STILL be wasting time and especially... MONEY... on a no-brainer. Get it done already!

Marijuana legalization seems to be one of the FEW topics which usually brings both conservatives & liberals together.

Both of these (decriminalization and medical MJ) have been active in California for a while now, over a decade in the case of medical use - no big whoop, and even/especially the cops are much happier with the current laws.

So it's ok to possess and use cannabis, but not ok to cultivate or sell it? So where the hell are we supposed to get it from? It sends mixed messages and makes absolutely no sense at all. They need to just legalize it completely and stop pissing around with this half-way BS.
I assume they'd have licensed dispensaries, which are given permission to cultivate and sell the product. Here in California you can grow (with a prescription) but not sell, so your choices are to grow and keep your own or buy from a "cannabis club." I don't know the exact laws, but I guess it's like having a commercial liquor license vs home-brewing vs purchasing from a bar/store.

But yeah, that part of the law is stupid - and I agree it should just be 100% legalized already!

Very true. A little more of a push, and it could be the "leaf" that unites us. If I wasn't at work, I'd toke to that!

Legalize!

The war on drugs of any kind could have been won decades ago but am sure there were and still are factors in our govt who have managed to remain unknown, who are personally profitting from it and thats why its still a problem.. When they get out and out serious about eliminating it you will know the dishonest have been removed from authority.
