My daughter has done loads of research and studying on the war between the states. She understands that the real reason for the war was not racial.
And, our Marines, can do what they want. And, the Confederate Flag is NOT racist. You talk to the Marines - race will not come up.
I'd suggest you go back and read the southern state's declarations of secession. They certainly thought the war was about their right to buy, sell, rape, and murder people like your daughter. I'm guessing she hasn't actually read any real history books, other than ones 'approved' by you.
Our marines can do what they want? What does that mean? If they choose to burn crosses or hold Klan meetings, that's perfectly OK? and yes, the Confederate flag is racist.
I might suggest that you have your parents drive you to Oceanside, CA - specifically to the gates of Camp Pendleton.
While you cannot go onto the base, if you sit outside the base, I GUARANTEE you will see Marines, driving off base, flying the "Stars and Bars" from their vehicles.
Then, I would suggest you go down to downtown Oceanside and you will see vehicles with those same flags - and go up to those drivers and call them Traitors - go ahead and do it. Then, try to "tear up" those flags.
I can GUARANTEE you that you will learn a life lesson.
OBTW - my daughter, who is Black, has her "stars and bars" flags and towels -
That is so untrue! I've been on the Camp Pendleton base & never saw any Confederate flags Poor boy!
None whatsoever. My ancestors get all the credit, thats the point.
Yeah, they achieved a lot. Killed 600,000 people, ensured that we would forever be two countries in reality if not in name, condemned their own people to 150 + years of ignorance, and all for the right to buy, sell, rape, and murder black people without fear of punishment.

Yes, that sounds highly suspicious to me. In my command, racist symbols like confederate flags were not allowed under any circumstances. I get the feeling this may be one of those right wing fantasies.

And those declarations were from only 5 of the 11 C.S. states. Of course knowing the sources you've used in the past, puts you nothing short of having Marxist tendencies.

A terrific legacy. You have a lot to be proud of.
I'm sorry, How is it exactly that you've determined I'm Southern and not Northern?
