Report to put pressure on world leaders.

Glacier scientists says he knew data had not been verified | Mail Online

Quote:
In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Dr Lal, the co-ordinating lead author of the report’s chapter on Asia, said: ‘It related to several countries in this region and their water sources. We thought that if we can highlight it, it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some concrete action.
Quote:
According to the IPCC’s statement of principles, its role is ‘to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis, scientific, technical and socio-economic information – IPCC reports should be neutral with respect to policy’.
We now know this is a bunch of BS.

The IPCC had to retract the claim about the Glaciers melting.

Pachuri, the head of the IPCC said that the criticism pointing out that the claim of melting glaciers by 2035 was "voodoo science".

He had to eat crow and basically admitted there are other errors in the report.

Dr Lal said: ‘We knew the WWF report with the 2035 date was “grey literature” [material not published in a peer-reviewed journal].

And yet, the claim made it into the report, over the objections of quite a few of the authors and one scientist even resigning because of this.

The noose is tightening around Pachauri - he has massive conflict of interest.

Its all unraveling now.

Quote:
The Indian head of the UN climate change panel defended his position yesterday even as further errors were identified in the panel's assessment of Himalayan glaciers.

Dr Rajendra Pachauri dismissed calls for him to resign over the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change’s retraction of a prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035.

The chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, R K Pachauri, tells Kalpana Jain that the glacier melting report was a mistake but that does not detract from the fact that glaciers are melting

'It's a mistake, but glacier melting is real'

I don't know what to believe one way or the other. Just pointing out that he still claims the melting is real.

That explains why Pachauri's statement re: glacial melting matches that on the Goreacle's website.

Read the articles. There were many scientists who objected to the claim and were basically ignored by the lead authors.

He can claim it all he wants....the fact remains that the IPCC is circling the drain.

Don't you just love all the coincidences that surround climate change ?
It's starting to sound like another big ponzi scheme.

While the rich get richer..do they ever become rich enough ? I guess not.

Pachauri: the real story behind the Glaciergate scandal - Telegraph

Quote:
What has now come to light, however, is that the scientist from whom this claim originated, Dr Syed Hasnain, has for the past two years been working as a senior employee of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Delhi-based company of which Dr Pachauri is director-general.

Furthermore, the claim – now disowned by Dr Pachauri as chairman of the IPCC – has helped TERI to win a substantial share of a $500,000 grant from one of America's leading charities, along with a share in a three million euro research study funded by the EU.
The House of Cards is collapsing.

That's the same thing as saying the sun is bright... glaciers are SUPPOSE to melt, NOTHING lasts forever... animals are SUPPOSE to go extinct, they went extinct before global warming and will continue to go extinct after global warming... this global warming BS that uses the normal variance of climate and temperature and claiming that it is abnormal makes the global warming crowd a bunch of religious fanatics of their own ideology... you take out the money from the global warming SCAM and guess what, global warming disappears... stop the rich Big Business from stealing your money by stopping this global warming crap...

IPCC Head in Glaciergate Crime? - Walter Russell Mead's Blog - The American Interest

Quote:
The latest disclosure: Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the UN’s (formerly) prestigious Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (known as the IPCC), may have raised millions of dollars for his New Delhi institute on the basis of the totally bogus ‘glaciergate’ claim by the IPCC that the Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035.
And wouldn't know, the scientist who made that bogus claim about the glaciers works for ......... Pachauri's TERI.

http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/a...auri_now#66070

Quote:
The chairman of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has used bogus claims that Himalayan glaciers were melting to win grants worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Rajendra Pachauri’s Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), based in New Delhi, was awarded up to £310,000 by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the lion’s share of a £2.5m EU grant funded by European taxpayers…
The corrupt IPCC is now tainted beyond repair.

http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/20...-of-asian-ice/

What a week this is shaping up to be.

Mass, obamacare DOA and now the IPCC in tatters.
