Obama Administration Steers Lucrative No-Bid Contract for Afghan Work to Dem Donor
By James Rosen
- FOXNews.com
The Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a prominent Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.
Despite President Obama's long history of criticizing the Bush administration for "sweetheart deals" with favored contractors, the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.
The contract, awarded on Jan. 4 to Checchi & Company Consulting, Inc., a Washington-based firm owned by economist and Democratic donor Vincent V. Checchi, will pay the firm $24,673,427 to provide "rule of law stabilization services" in war-torn Afghanistan.
Fear not, liberals won't touch this thread with a ten foot pole.
Yes they will... it will be something like this..
Its from Foxnews its not real..
Or Obama is only doing it because he didnt want BUSH to get all the money :-)
Or Obama is just cleaning up BUSHS mess and wants to try to get someone else in the middle east to do a better job.
Did I miss anything..
Dems like to make belief its not real in destroying the scource (fox news)
Dems will say and what they will say for the next 7 years its BUSH's fault.
Dont forget we might even hear the word Chenney since Halliburtion is listed in this thread.
You are equating a $25 million dollar contract with the Halliburton $21 billion+contract!
Quote:
The $21 billion represents the total amount Halliburton currently expects to receive from military contracts awarded by governments around the world, including contracts for restoring Iraq's oil infrastructure and conducting military-related research at New Mexico's Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Quote:
The $21 billion represents only a current estimate of the total amount Halliburton expects to receive from its military businesses. But this amount could rise or fall in the future as war conditions escalate or diminish.
and when did halliburton get its one and only 'no -bid' contract..1997 under CLINTON, and haliburton (its subsidery KBR) has had the military contracts since LBJ

Well how bout this then, OBAMA owes it all. Things he is doing are real, not make belief, we will punish him for the next 8 years, AND a new President will be cleaning up his huge failed mess.

You're doing great here, but I am not sure he will be around 8 years.
