Obama wants to freeze discretionary spending for 3 years - CNN.com

"President Obama will announce in Wednesday's State of the Union address that he's proposing to save $250 billion by freezing all nonsecurity federal discretionary spending for three years, according to two senior administration officials.

The officials would not reveal the details of which domestic programs would be cut, as they prepare to face major pushback from liberals in the president's own party because popular education and health spending could be on the chopping block."

Oh...wait. Obama's not a socialist at all! I've been bamboozled by propaganda!

Wait a minute!

First, he's a socialist because he spends recklessly.

Now, he's a socialist because he wants to freeze spending?

So he wants to cut education, Schip and job training so he can spend more money on useless weapons systems that the military does not even WANT and continue Bush's war in Iraq???
As a LIBERAL I am sick of this guy. The Republicans can have him. He acts like them anyway. Gutless.

Only one problem; Obama is lying again...more smoke and mirrors;

For once, you are right.

This isn’t news. In the budget proposal that President Obama submitted to Congress last year, his budget office already projected actual cuts and freezes in “non-defense” discretionary spending for the next three years. That’s in part because of the huge increase in that area of spending that the President requested (and received) for the current fiscal year.
Smoke and mirrors.

Have I ever sounded like a blue dog or RINO?

I'm a very happy person. I'm gonna get married the best girl ever and I'm finishing up my Ph. D. The sky's the limit for me. So, I'm very happy. Has nothing to do with my assertion however.

I'm sensing a lot of tension w/you today. I don't recall calling you a blue dog or a rhino, yet you got a bit defensive & went immediately into something totally out of left field. Very strange.

Meh, just trying to figure out how we're positioning our cognitive science conference paper this year. Probably some tension in the air right now.
