Where did I say I teach my children to hate or that our neighbors, friends, relatives, etc are destroying our country? Liberalism, as in the liberal agenda, run rampant is destroying our country. I'm sorry you cannot see that.

My children are respectful of other people's opinions, they just don't have to agree with them. Live and let live is my motto, and to each their own. You're failing to see the difference between teaching kids the importance of self reliance vs government reliance (ala, the liberal way).

Things I tell my kids.

If you’re going to be stupid you better be tuff.
If you want something earn some money.
You aren’t a liberal so quit whining.
Nobody owes you anything.
Hard work always pays off.
Your word is your bond. Don’t say it if you don’t mean it.
5 Generations of our family have spent their lives building that good name you have. You better honor their effort.
There is no substitute for a good education and hard work. There is also no short cut to these two things.
There is a time to cry. Not getting your way is not the time.
The government is not your friend and it wants your money.
When you fall down get up. When you get hurt rub some dirt in it. When you can’t, try again.
You are expected to overcome what ever problems life places in your path. There are no excuses.

I also let my kids fail so they know what it feels like. Knowing what failure feels like is the best antidote to wanting to live in failure.

Yesterday my son out of the blue asked me this question “Dad does the government need to go to jail?” It was a brilliant question!
My answer was, yes it sure does.
