Now you're trying to blame the man for stuff that happened in 2008? Seems like he didn't take the oath of office until Jan of 09, if memory serves me right.

So unemployment jumped by 5% under Bush, and less than 2% under Obama.

Who is doing a better job?

I'd say that the current unemployment rate has a bit more to do with the previous administration than whoever was being considered for the DNP nomination in 2008. Most of us didn't even now who Obama was.
