Only in Washington will you find a "freeze" defined by a rise in overall spending. Can we just admit right now that once again, he is lying through his teeth?
You see that freeze is not until next year. So it looks like we're gonna double up this year so that next year's "freeze" is a no-op.

Nice move there...a bit underhanded and sly, but nice move.

Comes across as empty and disingenuous at best. Ten to one you cashed your Socialist stimulus check from Bush and bought something with it.
You bet I did. A tax refund check directly from the government, acknowledging that I know best how to spend my money. The money didn't have to go through mounds of bureaucracy to be spent how the government thought it should be spent.

Paid for 1/2 of a really nice saddle, btw.

It may or may not be necessary to increase the budget by 6%, but what isnt necessary is LYING about the fact that you are going to freeze the increases knowing darn well that days later you are going to suggest an increase.

He's a LIER!!!

Save your breath, sanrene, the sheep have to listen to the sheepherder, even when the sheepherder, destroys his sheep, by the unecessary.

He destroys his sheep by the unecessary? Thank God he has spared us all those ecessary means. I hate those. Meanwhile, the budget freeze exists exactly as described by your President. If you would like to find it, you might try looking in the budget...

Looking for less than 1% of his 2011 budget may be difficult. We know the racket he's running. Balloon the spending this year, with massive deficits for years to come and then come next year and claim he's freezing spending.

Obama increased spending by 25% last year, how much this year?

I didn't say it would be easy...I recognize the degree of incapacitation that exists around here.

Yeah, it's called stimulus. There are a few among the economically challenged who think that stimulus is not worthwhile, even when eight years of Republican bungling has sent most of the world into an economic tailspin, but we are all fortunate to have had sharper minds than that prevail. Especially thankful are those two million Americans who have jobs today who wouldn't if not for the stimulus. I expect that those who provide goods and services to those two million Americans are happy as well. So, you see, the increased spending and deficits made necessary now by the moronic actions of right-wingers then, are just a bridge over troubled waters. As the recovery begun last July matures from stimulus-sustained to self-sustained, there will be opportunities -- small at first -- to begin scaling back. The end of this year may an appropriate time for that. We'll just have to see...

Actually, federal outlays were up 18% last year. Not such good math by somebody...
