I heard recently on the radio about Sweden. that is a TRUE welfare country. Ppl over there qualify have "permanent" unemployment checks. as a result, there is no stigma to being fired like there is over here in the States. They receive FREE maternity leave, even for the fathers, FREE education, etc. We are nowhere near that in the US.

One only has to initiate the long-winded, and expensive, eviction process in a so-called conservative State like Texas to fully realize we are indeed a welfare nation.

Sure we are a welfare nation. We rely on foreign countries to give us their money so we can spend it.

We're not a producer nation; we do not have a surplus to loan out.
We're a consumer nation; we have a deficit and have to live off handouts from foreign nations.
