It might seem too obvious to bother pointing out, but the NEA isn't funded by tax dollars it is funded by the dues paid by its members.

Collectivism gets you this:

I'd rather have the monolithic shopping malls. At least they're giving the people what they want, rather than dictating what they can have.

That would have been enough to make me retract my post except for the fact that these dues are paid by members that are government employees, and that they are teaching this drivel "on the clock" for the government.

It's one thing to recommend it as reading so that one might better understand what to look out for in our politicians.
But to sing it's praises with lines like:
An inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community! And to every organizer!

"The American Radical will fight privilege and power whether it be inherited or acquired by any small group, whether it be political or financial or organized creed.

"He will fight conservatives whether they are business or labor leaders"

etc...

If you have a problem with a school district, move.

By the way, recommendation is not compulsion.

Generally speaking, our school district is quite conservative.
Some aren't as lucky.
And I can always send the book back to school with 'em!

I respect all opinions as true Americans should do. To place blame on a political party is not in my opinion counter productive. The real blame should be placed on those who have the means as which to have the middle class becoming extremists against each other. Examine the facts and those who benefit from all that have benefit from what is going on. Big business, tax breaks, less regulation and many other decisions that have been in their favor. Most wealthy and big business donate to each party as to secure favors from whom ever wins in the elections. I ask that everyone read the Declaration of Independence and contained in that document you will find an option to all Americans to correct our current situation. I wish everyone no matter the views they have the best and hope we can come together as one and rid our country of all the hate. We must secure our reputation as the greatest nation in the world. Karl
