Not funding NASA is an attempt to place our Country in a second rate seat at the World's theater. And is an ill-advised move as it sends a bad message to all those who aspire to study science. I just don't know what is going on anymore.

NASA put a man on the moon and then did nothing for 50 years. If we are to fund them we had better see a man on MARS in 10 years

I guess the plan is to fall behind all other countries, lose our expertise in space engineering, and ask permission or work out favors to pay for Russian, European, Chinese, or Indian space rides.

Yep. Not to mention many of the scientific benefits of the space program that will go unrealized.

Good decision.

Promote private industry for space exploitation. Save space exploration for NASA.

I love how the wing nuts who whine about the deficit suddenly want to spend trillions. Notice how Bush never allocated a single penny for his proposed return to the moon? All Obama did is admit there is no budget for trillion dollar PR projects.

Why do I have a strange feeling the same people criticizing this move would be the same people claiming we're overspending if Obama were to further increase NASA funding?
