As to Jones, all he did was lobby for green jobs, that was his job, and its why 0bama hired him.
A lobbyist presses for breaks for his employer. An advisor is an expert in some field who recommends courses of action. Van Jones was an advisor, not a lobbyist.

And you're just wishing that Andy Stern helped write the health care bill.

Okay.

Not much backup here. Please cite the actual language of the executive order. Please name, oh, five people whose hiring you think violated that language.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with earmarks. It is the ABUSE of earmarks -- as became positively rampant during the Republican-led 107th, 108th, and 109th Congresses -- that is the problem. Second of all, earmarks are a Legislative Branch matter. The President may ask or recommend that Congress make changes, but he is not involved in the actual decision-making process there. Third of all, he did not promise to end earmarks. He promised to reform and overhaul the earmark process, to reduce wastefuil spending, and to end the days of "pork" as a strategy. ("Done right, earmarks have given legislators the opportunity to direct federal money to worthy projects that benefit people in their districts. And that's why I've opposed their outright elimination.") Those things have in fact been accomplished. Earmarking has been significantly reduced in both number and dollar terms, and the process of filing earmarks has been made more timely and transparent. You got what you paid for here if you voted for Obama. Lastly, there have been no bills passed by this administartion that contained almost 20,000 earmarks. You or some worthless source made that number up. Even the FY2009 Omnibus spending bill (actually drafted in the 110th Congress) had only about 8,000 earmarks, some 3,500 of them put there by Republicans, notably including the Republican leadership.

Well, one of the things one could say is that the guy who lies is you. What Obama actually said at the VFW Convention last August was, "if Congress sends me a defense bill loaded with a bunch of pork, I will veto it." The final bill contained 0.4% worth of earmarks. Loaded, that is not. The #1 earmarker? Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) at $212 million.

Unless you have a verifiable source for this, I will consider it another indication of your willingness to lie.

Once again, where is the spin?
I've already asked for your examples. You claimed there were forty of them. Five should not be too many to come up with.

The Examiner does not have any money to do fact-checking. Nor any inclination.

The man is truly shameless in his rhetoric and lies.
It doesn't matter how many facts you post sanrene; it doesn't matter at all. The angry and bitter hatred far left will forever condemn it. It's utterly shameless how far they will go. BUT, keep on posting - keep it up. It's sanity in a nutshell that they find hard to stomach.

Lobbyists have to register in order to have the credentials to lobby. Was Van Jones a registered lobbyist during the two years prior to his appointment? If so, for whom?

It's more typically trash that simply gets hauled out to the curb. Actual facts do not favor the right-wing cause. This is why they have to fabricate so many of them...

obama could molest a puppy on national TV, and saggy would show up 10 seconds later, postulating that the damn whorish puppy was asking for it.

"We are going to ban all earmarks, the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review," Obama told reporters after a meeting with his economic advisers.

Did you leave out the words FROM THE STIMULUS BILL??? Why yes, you did. Deliberately. As if no one would notice. The right-wing propensity to lie, distort, and misrepresent is on the loose tonight. And could you tell us how many earmarks there actually were in the stimulus bill? The correct answer is zero, but I don't think you'll be able to get the question right even having the advantage of that hint...
