Touche'. Bankers and Wall Street execs are definately not worth what they are being paid. At least at the higher levels.

I was admitting that I was wrong in my first post.

Maybe Katie can do a Sonny and Cher type of show with Conan!

What the heck are you talking about? Why are you making this a gender issue? Did you even read the last paragraph?

There is no need for anyone to be paid six figures, much less, millions.

But it definitely should not be tied to ratings, because that would just simply mean sensationalizing the news to increase ratings.

I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with ANYONE being paid what they can get from their employer.

If Ms. Couric and CBS decide that her compensation package be tied to her ratings, fine. I have no problem with that.

Those who say that no one should get over $ XXX , are just jealous. Nothing more

I just wished it was her and not her husband.
I can't stand seeing that little boy on TV all the time, but she follows the local news I watch.

I'm not jealous. I just don't think popularity contests should be used to measure how much truth is being told in Journalism, or worse, punishing them for delivering unhappy news. I'd pay more for facts being delivered than being entertained by OpEd. Tabloid news isn't news at all.
