He is asking the Secretary of State in MASSACHUSETTS to certify the election results. The Senate can't seat him until those results have been certified.

Default Rational, mature, non-games-playing guy spoke up Jan. 20

January 20: "Sen. Al Franken says it's time to move on.

"'This is a substantial enough victory that he should be seated as soon as legally possible,' Franken told Minnesota Public Radio."

Sen.-elect Brown demands to be seated - Washington Times

Just as they voted for the $1.9 Trillion increase in debt ceiling, the dems are trying to get as many votes in as possible.

If they continue to delay, there will be a huge backlash for this.

Whats wrong with you? No one was stopping anything, if you'd researched before posting you will find that it was already stated (before your false and misleading thread) that the Governor will certify Brown Thursday morning.

A spokeswoman for Patrick said the governor will certify the result at 9:30 a.m. ET Thursday.
"As the Lieutenant Governor stated earlier today, the Governor will convene the Governor’s Council at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning and certify the results," said Deputy Press Secretary Kimberly Haberlin. "This will ensure that Senator-elect Brown’s request to receive the final paperwork by 11:00 a.m. tomorrow is fulfilled."

As has been stated, the results will be certified tomorrow morning. This news came out prior to the post, but the op made that silly post anyway. On top of that the reason it took the time it did, is even when the absentee ballots will have no impact on the election, the results can not be officially certified until all the absentee ballots are counted. That just finished and the results will be officially certified tomorrow.

I've stated this before and I will state it again, its pathetic and telling how the same posters continue to chime in with agreement on the OP ingnorant, baseless and lying posts without using their god given common sense and research before chiming in. Pathetic.
