A documentary featuring images of the car crash in which Princess Diana died should not be shown because of the distress it will cause her family, Britain's opposition Conservatives said on Monday.

The Channel 4 programme "Diana: The Witnesses in the Tunnel" will show pictures of the aftermath of the 1997 accident in a Paris underpass in which Diana, 36, and her lover Dodi al Fayed were killed, along with their chauffeur Henri Paul.

What about the distress it will cause all of us who have somehow gotten over the fact that this was news for far too long to begin with only to have it brought back up once again!!

I would have to agree, I really don't want to see this if they are just retelling the same thing.

If at some point authorities were to come up with proof that someone purposely caused the accident then I would find it interesting to see that.

I think the best place for the footage is in a High School driver's ed video in the "wear your seat belt" and "Don't drink and drive" portions.

If it's just about "remembering Diana" then there really is no point.

One other point Don't mix alcohol and prescription medications...

The driver had antidepressants in his system as well as alcohol...
