Most Liberals, as some of you define it are either:
a) white guilt ridden in public, that ocassionally enjoy certain aspects of black culture, but are really pro-white bigots when around only white people/behind closed doors
OR
b) pro-black people that acknowledge whites when it benefits them but in private or around only black people truly detest white people, despise white involvement in black culture, and look for every opportunity to "defeat whitey" (award shows are a great example of this) as retribution for years of oppression
Doesn't sound like either group of Obamacrats are very open-minded and accepting of each other do they? Their only common-bond is that they both favor Obama's economic policies. When the taxpayer money runs out, there will be no common bond.

I've never heard any dem, liberal, or progressive define it like that. I truly have no idea where you are coming from.
Liberals are very open minded. We don't kill doctors that provide abordion services, we do not want to take away any rights from fellow (gay) American citizens, and we don't discriminate against anybody.
I think there is a push by many liberal groups (but not all liberals) to change the colloquial definition of tolerant to mean acceptance. As the the fellows in South Park so irreverently pointed out, tolerance does not equal acceptance.
I tolerate all people, meaning I recognize the fact that they have a right to exist, I do not however have to approve of it, or celebrate it or accept it as part of my life.

progressive politically or socially: favoring gradual reform, especially political reforms that extend democracy, distribute wealth more evenly, and protect the personal freedom of the individual
