Palin is supporting Rick Perry for governor. I listen to the local talk radio shows and it is not going over very well. Support for Debra Medina is climbing quickly (she has gone from 4% to 16% in less than 8 weeks, destroying Perry and Kay Bailout in debates), and a lot of conservatives are sick of Slick Rick and have no interest in putting Kay Bailout in charge. Rick Perry is a GREAT conservative talker, and its true that he has done some good things in office. But he is a politician that looks out for him and his buddies over the people of TX. We haven't forgotten the hpv vaccine that he made mandatory, something a limited govt supporter would never do. He is also tolling the entire state it seems as toll roads are going up at a rapidly increasing rate. He brags that we have a budget surplus, then BUILD SOME ROADS! Quit charging people $1.25 to go 3 miles.

Local conservatives on the radio that were supporters of Palin are turning on her due to this. Those who didn't care one way or the other with Palin are turning against her. Those who didn't like her (like me) are REALLY starting to detest her. Maybe she is just dumb and believes Rick Perry. But it looks more like a political stunt, and Palin's popularity is dropping around here. Thats a good thing. Quitters shouldn't be supported or popular.

Medina is on a roll right now. Being in the 2 debates that networks tried to shut her out of has given her voice a chance to be heard. And people who are listening like what they hear.

Palin is fine with the status quo, although she lies about how she is against the status quo. I wish she would quit talking politics the same way she quit her job as governor.

Rick Perry wants Texas to secede from the Union. Palin's husband belongs to a group that wants to secede from the Union. If Sarah has her way, exactly how big will the remaining United States be?

Maybe she wants us to end up like the former Soviet Union which was split into many many different countries.

Rick Perry is playing lip service. Texas needs to secede, but won't do it as long as he's governor.

If that happens, it will happen because DC got too greedy.

Perry leads Hutchison by 18 points among conservative primary voters, and conservatives dominate Republican primaries in Texas and throughout the nation. Hutchison leads by 11 among moderate voters.

Eighty percent (80%) of likely primary voters have a favorable opinion of Perry.

Four percent (4%) have a Very Unfavorable opinion of Perry. Each of the other candidates is viewed Very Unfavorably by eight percent (8%).

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Texas GOP voters approve of the job Perry is doing as governor. That's up six points from a month ago. However, only 18% strongly approve.

Perry doesn't seem to be polling bad.

As long as either one of them stay ahead of Kay Bailout. She's the last one I want to see in the Governor's seat.

That might hold true in the more liberal big cities here in Texas but I doubt that will happen for the Governorship.

How else will the RINOs learn their lesson? Besides, the pro-peace liberals aren't exactly happy with the Dem leadership either and they're just as inclined to stay home or vote third party.
