strange, I went to a tea party, and most of the people there were in the age group of 20-35, so i dont know what you consider "1 foot in the grave".

Do you think all conservatives vote Republican? Many conservatives are libertarians. REPUBLICANS ARE NOT CONSERVATIVE. Look at the massive expansion of government under Bush. I wouldn't be surprised if 1/3rd or more of all conservatives voted for Obama. But I would be willing to bet almost zero liberals voted for McCain.

In all honesty, if every conservative American + half of all moderates voted for the same party. That party would always have a super-majority in both houses, and the presidency.

Where do you live? On a liberal college campus?

Looks to me like there are twice as many conservatives as liberals. And that number seems to be rising. I would be willing to bet that it could go as high as 45% between now and 2012. From what I see from the Massachusetts senate race, I think the Democrats are destined for a world of hurt in the next several elections.
Thanks for the link.
Conservatism has a large future in America. Anti-intellectualism is one of America's cornerstones.

Pretty much. I don't see many votes for these so called "libertarians". The vast majority of conservatives are Republicans despite what you and your Ron Paul/Constitutional Party fringees want to believe. There aren't that many of you.

You have to rememeber that the 60's were perhaps the most liberal times of any decade. Those same people ahve aged and madeup much of the Reagan movement of the 80's. Now we see a risng again in response to out of control government spending and deficits. It is lookig more like people are ready to look at every program for cuts. A congreesional bill just filed by 4 votes which would ahve oput all programs on the table and a up or down vote just recently to point out how things are changing.i alos see more and more opposition to pork bareeled spending where a representative places spending on to another bill that is completely unrelated to get it thru. There is a old sayig that rings true;the times they are achanging.

Yes.

My guess would be that most of the self proclaimed moderates on that list actually vote democrat.

Well, 40% of Americans are Conservative, that percentage has been about the same for nearly 20 years. Even among the younger generation, Conservatives outnumber Liberals, although by a small amount.
