We had eight years of Bush and Cheney. Now you get mad !

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and
appointed a President..

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got ousted.

You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said
illegal war.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq .

You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn't get mad when we let a major US city drown.

You didn't get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich.

You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America
deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies,
corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all
okay with you, but helping other Americans... oh hell no.

Thank you, it's just undercover hate and a lack of trust.

These people just don't want to admit it.

I was mad then, and I'm mad now. Obama is a milquetoast combination of Bush and Clinton, sans cowboy hat.
Still sucking that corporate teat, and "trickling down" on the poor.

I changed my mind... THIS is the most ridiculous thread of the year (or decade).
Most inaccurate, too.

Most of what you posted involves egregious spending.

How do you correlate these things to the current healthcare bill, which WILL result in massive spending, tax increases, and a massive boon for insurance companies?

Tell me how mad you are at this particular reality, and then we'll have a rational discussion.

Until then, this is nothing but "me, me, me" entitlement crap and obvious class envy.

No it doesn't. I think you have a severe problem with comprehension.

Yes & all this egregious spending is ridiculous like you say, yet it's considered "for the good of the country" & yet healthcare is not. Don't you see that these same people who cry about this war spending have a problem w/spending this money on their own fellow citizens in this very own country who are without healthcare? Don't you think that is the epitome of elitist?

HAHHAHA! Care to explain?

How about the thread where the righties were oh so upset about Obama wearing a jacket or putting his feet on a desk?

EXCELLENT THREAD, OP! SPOT ON.

The right is nothing but a J-O-K-E!

Exactly what I expected. Nothing of substance in the form of a rebuttal - just the typical liberal "comprehension" defense.

Re-read your post. Count how many of those items involve massive spending or some sort of relation to financial influence.

Then, re-read the healthcare bill, and count up the dollars, the tax increases, and the financial benefit to Big Insurance.

Finally, come back and tell me how any of the egregious spending and corporate welfare of the past is any different than that being currently proposed.

(I won't even get into the obvious class-envy you suffer from until you come forth with a rebuttal to this stuff.)
