Short answer...........because the Democrat party, is the part of wall street and crony capitalists, if you are not already wealthy but would like to be, you dont stand a chance with the democrats.

Silas, I hate to tell you, but I have spent almost 20 years on Wall Street and at all times, as a Democrat, I was totally in the small minority. They loved Bush, mocked Clinton, and almost cried when Obama was elected. As a matter of fact, when the Republicans were having their convention in Boston, we were offered time off to work in the convention. No such offer was made when the Democrats had their convention.

So why should the rich have to pay for everybody else anyways?

I don't consider us to be "rich", certainly not wealthy, but my husband makes good money and is in a very high tax bracket...after taxes he only brought home about HALF of what he earned during his stress filled 80 hour work weeks.

It's complete BS.

Everyone pays taxes out of their paychecks, not just the rich. Under Reagan and Bush the richer of the population got larger tax breaks than the middle class or poor did- why should we pay our fair share when the others don't? If we are talking fair lets be fair without spouting all of that trickle down Voodoo economics jargon-

Yeah some people pay 10% and others pay 40...so if you are more successful you pay more. That's what charity should be for.

At least we're putting our money into something useful like companies and things that will bring us income! Is it wrong to be smart?
