It would certainly make a statement about a women.. and their tenacity under pressure.

I would be very disappointed in her if Hillary resigned her position.

"Palin quit to make a profit, Hillary quit for her family"....

And reading further into the thread, you still don't get it. You keep leaning on Bill's health. This has nothing to do with Bill's health other than it possibly being a scapegoat, which is entirely conceivable, even if he's not suffering from a long-term illness.

She could use the opportunity to declare a need for "family time" and no one would ask any questions. The big question is, will she do it?
I guess you missed this in the OP?

I was just pondering the thought that Hillary might use the occasion of President Clinton's illness to exit the Obama Administration.

If Bill's health has nothing to do w/this thread then I wonder what the reason for this thread is?

I would not excuse Hillary if she quit. I also don't expect her to quit.

but in the case of Palin....

I believe that Ms. Palin said she was quitting because she was a "lame duck".

We don't have to spin it.

Things got tough, and Ms. Palin got mad and quit!

I dont think that was Palins excuse.. do you want to back it up, or should we just take your posting as your failed effort to spin?

Why? Hillary wouldnt quit to make a profit, and she's been in politics all her life... politics *is* her life.

Unlike some people, who quit to make a profit.

Very well paid politicians at that.. They are worth what, $100 MILLION?

With that kind of profit from politics, why would you ever leave?

Sir, I remember watching an interview with Palin on television a while back.

Your darlin' girl said that....

I don't remember who it was doing the interview but I'm certain that you can find reference to it published somewhere --
that is, of course, if you want to know the truth....

I just Googled, "Palin Lame Duck Quit" and got lots of results.

just another example of Republicans who "hear what they want to", I guess.

? They made their (first) money through investments, not by saving their salaries.

Actually, her reasoning for quitting was she didn't want to become a lame duck which I don't understand because hello, every elected official is a lame duck near the end of their term. Actually, lame duck would mean that she didn't win re-election so basically she admitted to not being able to win an election. LOL, I don't think she really even knows the definition of lame duck.
