They are not.

It's just another, in a long line of mindless partisan marketing campaigns.

Repeat the same untruth enough times, and do it in as many venues and media outlets as possible; and the sheep will eventually forget recent and distant history. In favor of the latest phoney marketing campaign.

" Hey, if I hear it so many times, it must be true "

No one should trust the Republican party or anyone who pledges their loyalty to any party. And that goes for Democrates and Liberals.

Partisan theologies and agendas have been destroying this country ...... decade after decade.

I still don't trust any of them any farther than I can throw them but here is to hoping for a republican takeover in order for total gridlock to take place. As long as government is in gridlock they can not hurt you.
Like I said...I didn't vote FOR Democrats...I voted AGAINST Republicans.

Just looking at the recent past....

Nixon was great for the economy. Ford, too.

Then of course, Reagan borrowed trillions of dollars to cover the federal deficit brought on by the Savings and Loan crisis.

"No new taxes" Bush had to raise taxes because of the deficit left behind from his predecessor ^^^

and, now, after another 8 years of their "fiscal responsibility"

here we are today...

Senator Shelby wanted tens of billions sent to his state. McCain wants to lease out land adjacent to the Grand Canyon for Open Pit Uranium Mining. They are thieves

current slate of republicans are not fiscally responsible anymore than the current slate of democrats.

both parties think that the purse strings are never ending, 1 day that purse string will close shut and all politicians will finally understand that they were wrong.

The operating surplus in Clinton's last quarter in office was 121 billion. Far from "like 250-500 billion". Even with said "surplus" the national debt still increased every year of Clinton's two terms, for a total of $5.7 trillion.

No, Bush's final year left a $1.16 trillion deficit, and $10.7 trillion in debt.

He inherited a $1.16 trillion deficit and increased it to $1.61 trillion. National debt stands at $12 trillion after one year since Bush left office.

The trillion dollar tax cut with half going to the wealthiest 1% of taxpayers didn't have anything to do with it? You're either blind or you're kidding us.

There are certain resposibilties that the federal goverment has like security.Like it or not we are 90% of the western world's security and have been since WWII.The clinton administrtion came on a era where people beleived that we could spernd the cold ending meny at teh same time as raising taxes and fees. What was ingored was the rising threat of a new chaallenger to western culture and way of life;raqdicval islamic terroism. We are a recative society and so it was ignored until 9-11.Then just WWII security spoending rose. What I think teh real danger is that there are less and less per centage of people in this country actually supporting the federal governamnt. 50% pay no income tax and 69% consume more services than they pay for. It jsut like the big three autmotive companies those legacy outlaying cost can not be sustained. If we were not a reactive society we would have solved the social security;medicare and medicaid problems by now;and not moved on to more entitlements of society.Loat where so many have gotrtwen themselfs into on just credit card debt;that can happen with the nation as a whole. Look at the healthcare bills ;it quickly became a fight on who was going to pay the government cost. The unions did not want to pay income tax on their free benefits altho people who pay their own do.The middle class did not want to pay any more. States looking at the passed on meidcaid cost wanted exemptions thru their senators. The spending by this administration on programs having nothing to do with saving the economy quckly turned the old its the economny stupid into its the debt stupid political cry of the day.Frankly; we see has much greed in the federal spending as we saw on wall street because people are really no different inthe overall society. Its easy to spend others money. Thus the growing opposition to expanding deficit government by such groups as the Tea Party movement after the inceasing entitlement movements since the 60's. Govenment spending bu borrowing and increasing spending of the GDP has come to the forefront just as terrorism did with 9-11.
