Information regarding Selective Service
• By federal law, every male between the age of 18-25 must register with selective service
• Failure to register could result in $250,000 fine and/or up to 5 years of prison time.
• Nonregistered males 26 years and older may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid by contacting the school’s financial aid office and proving he did not knowingly or willingly not register with Selective Service.
The Selective Services advise to provide as much supporting evidence as possible.
In some cases, the school may require a letter from The Selective Service.
